King’s Well, located in the heart of our Resort, is one of the most religious and cultural tourist attractions on Phu Quoc Island. The legend of King’s Well dates back to the Nguyen dynasty, during a time when King Gia Long and his troops were hiding from Tay Son in Ong Doi Cape, with no fresh water nor food.
When the King stabbed his sword to the ground and prayed, “If I am destined to be a king, please save my soldiers”, a spring miraculously welled up from underground. Ever since, local fishermen have been getting water from this well before they sail the ocean, and always come back with sumptuous seafood.
Locals later built a temple at the site that became known as the King’s Well. Guests at Premier Village can take a guided hike to the temple to learn more about the legend and enjoy the tranquil wilderness along the way.
